i’m not sure if this piece was designed as a metaphor for a relationship with a narcissist LOL but that’s how it landed for me and i couldn’t relate to anything more. that’s exactly what it felt like to be with my ex. it feels validating for me, which may not be what at all this piece was about but, i feel a little less crazy now.
I don't like to explain my posts too much, I enjoy being slightly cryptic, however I do like to see where everyone takes my words. It's great to be complimented on the writing style, but it's extra interesting when people take the time to describe how it spoke to them personally. I do think it takes horrible, specific experiences to understand, to relate, to feel what's left unsaid, so I'm sorry... but at the same time it's like you, there's this relief of like "ah, you get it. I'm not imagining things, this is what it felt like to someone else too." Thank you very much, Stephanie ❤️
i’m not sure if i’ve used this picture before, but i see you as a weaver of words. you create tapestries of story imbued with emotion and magic. pieces that feel like stepping out of time, just for a moment, to witness something true and substantive. a lovely piece, marie <3
There's something I love about you(r writing) in that you can pull us by the hand straight into one of these little snow globes - it feels as if we were waking up inside a dream.
Crazy how we don't always believe what is true, but rather believe what gives our lives meaning even if that means defending said meaning against the truth... crazy how that is actually okay sometimes. What is not okay though is turning a ripple into a wave simply because; that's rude, fuck him.

a sad, knowing smile crossed my face when the meaning of this metaphor clicked in my mind. the imagery of your writing is so vivid for me.. which perhaps could be attributed to similar experiences. regardless, i’ve not yet encountered any one else whose writing makes such perfect sense to me; every allegory pops out at me from the start. i feel so very seen in your work. <3

c'est vraiment incroyable. la magie dans tes mots me fascine à chaque fois que je te lis. tu construis une histoire, une atmosphère comme personne. le personnage du "trickster/thief" et le personnage principal sont incroyablements bien écrits. je suis vraiment très vite rentrée dans cette histoire. tu as un don avec les mots.

I try to turn my inner life into stories like this, because I feel like it's the only way it truly makes sense to me. I describe so many things with metaphors even in my day to day life, so in a way these are just really long metaphors to say "small" but important things ! I appreciate you Mai, thank you 😊
